Cedar Point - July 10-13, 2014

posted Jun 15, 2014, 12:17 AM by Troop Scoutmaster
Cedar Point is the second oldest operating amusement park in the country and also has the second largest number of roller coasters (17) in the country. Besides roller coasters, there are thrill, water and challenge rides. Something for everyone.

This will be an extended weekend outing from Thursday to Sunday.  We will travel out on Thursday, attend the park on Friday/Saturday and return on Sunday. The two day pass will get you into both the amusement and water parks.

Cost?  It depends on the number attending the outing.  While the costs of Cedar Point are fixed, other costs (food, camping, etc) will depend on the number of people, number tents, etc.   I'm estimating that with 4-5 scouts attending that the cost will be $135 person, with most of the cost being entrance into Cedar Point.  It could be a bit more, if we have to get a second campsite.  While Henry found a campground for us near Cedar Point, I'm looking into alternatives that might be a bit cheaper.

To make this a worthwhile trip, I'd say we need 4 or more scouts to attend.  We will be camping but we will not take the troop trailer on this outing.  Just what we need to camp and cook for the weekend.

So if you are interested in attending this outing please email Mr. Martell or see him at at this week's meeting.  I need to know the count before we leave for summer camp.

Times to leave and return will be decided as we get closer to the date.
